Less than a Month!

I am still on track to have Rylee around Jan 18!  I am down to weekly Dr. appointments, which are loads of fun...  I have finally met all the Dr.'s in the practice, and am pretty much OK with whom ever I get when it's delivery time.  They are all professional and are more and more friendly the bigger I get!  =)

My good friend Jennifer Morrison took my belly pics, and those can be viewed at:    http://www5.snapfish.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=2663237007/a=71410199_54960753/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/
It was a lot of fun, and I think they turned out amazing!

I also had my shower and feel so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family!  I will post the link for those pics soon!  Jen also took them, so of course, they turned out amazing!

As for Rylee, she is moving around more than ever!  She is getting stronger every day and I can tell from her kicks and punches!  =)  I can tell she can hear me, and sometimes moves when I talk to her.  Sometimes when I rub my belly, she will press up against the area I am rubbing, which makes me smile every time!  She jumps when Diogi barks, and also moves for her Daddy sometimes when he talks to her!  I can not wait to meet her!

Well, I will keep everyone updated!  Any bets on when she will come???

I have been meaning to update this since my last Dr. appt., which was about 2 weeks ago.  They did a sonogram to measure Rylee (apparently my stomach measures a little small, and they were worried), and said she was about 4 lbs. 13 ozs.  She is currently in the 66th percential for weight, and is looking perfectly healthy!  I have another Dr. appt. on Monday, and I am curious to find out about how much more she has gained.

Everything is looking and feeling good right now, other than waking up 3 - 4 times a night to pee, and not being able to get comfortable.  I really can't wait for her to be here!  I had my belly pics taken, and my shower, so I will make sure I post pictures soon from those events.

10 Weeks Left...

I feel like I have been pregnant forever!  Finding out at 4 weeks has it's advantages, but man has this time dragged on and on!  I am really hoping the last 10 weeks fly by, especially with the holidays.  I am feeling good, but ready to meet her!

I had a Dr. appt. last Friday, and all is well!  The Dr. said I measured a little small, but then said I looked about the right size when I stood up.  He wants to do another sono, just in case, which I am fine with because that means I will have a few more pictures of Rylee!  I love every opportunity to check in on her!

Kevin and I are going to a childbirth class this Sunday, which is not the same a lamaze, but should be good.  We will get a tour of the hospital, and even though it is all day Sunday, should be informative.  My next appt. is in 3 weeks, so I should have another update then.  Hopefully with a guess as to how big Rylee is!  Also, shower invitations have been sent out, so if you did not receive one and are wanting to go, let me know and I can send you the info.

Much Love from the Komassa's!  =)

11 Weeks to Go

It's been about a month now.  We did have our level 2 sonogram, and it looks like the baby will have no cleft!  That was something Kevin was especially nervous about, so we are really happy it was good news.  The sonogram was cool because the technician flipped the screen over to a 4D sonogram, and we really got to see her face very well!  At one point it even looked like she smiled!  Unfortunately there are no pics of that, but we did get some up close shots I will post.  At the time the Dr. said she weighed about 2.2 lbs, had a perfect heartbeat, and everything looked great!  I love every opportunity to see and hear how she is growing inside her current home!

We are almost 100% sure her name is Rylee Ann Komassa.  We have already started calling her that, and I have a funny feeling that when we get to see her perfect little face, the name will suit her just fine.   She wiggles around every day and it's pretty neat to see my stomach twitch and move around as she moves.  She jumps at loud noises, and when I rub my belly, it seems like she presses up against where I am rubbing, which I really love!

I have another routine Dr. appointment on Friday, and will try to be faster about posting updates on here...  Time is flying by, and before we know it, she will be here!  I can't wait to meet her!

Finger Pricking Good!

OK, so I had my appt. on Wednesday, and I failed my glucose test, meaning I had to go back for a 3 hour glucose tolerance test today...  This means I also had to fast, so nothing other than water after midnight last night (which is hard enough since I wake up starving).  The goal is to pass 3 of the 4 tests, so 2 finger pricks, so far so good...  One more and I get to leave...  Failed it...  One more shot (this is now the 4th prick)...  I passed.  So good news is no gestational diabetes!!!  My lunch was SO good, especially since it was almost noon when I finally got to eat something!  Lately, I am hungry ALL the time!  =)

The Baby is doing great!  She has a strong heartbeat, and is growing nicely.  She is still moving around lots and giving me heartburn daily.  Sometimes when Kevin gently pushes on my stomach, she pushes back, which is pretty cool.  My next appt. is not for a month, but Kevin and I are going to get a 2D Sonogram done next Friday, so hopefully I will have some really detailed pictures of her!  The doctor's want to make sure she does not have a cleft, which we are confident she does not, but want to be prepared in case.  I am greatful for the extra pics!  Especially since the pics will be of her adorable face!  =)

25 Weeks, 15 Left!

I am really new to this blogging thing, so I thought I would just start with an update.  We have reached 25 weeks with 15ish left!  According to all the books and on-line material I have been reading, she is about 1.5 lbs and around 13 inches long.  This of course is an average and varies greatly depends on your baby.  I have a feeling she will be tall since both Kevin and I are a bit taller.  I can feel her move every day now, and Kevin also gets to feel her kicking my belly!  I have a Dr. appt. on Wednesday where I will have my glucose test, and maybe get a better idea about how big she really is. Other than that, so far so good!  Everybody is happy and healthy!
